Bondee is a metaverse social platform that enables users to interact through customized avatars, fostering highly personalized social experiences.
However, post-pandemic shifts in communication habits have reshaped users’ needs. To adapt to these changes, we focused on understanding evolving user behaviors and developed a new feature 'BON' designed to enhance connection in this transformed social landscape.
My Role
I improved the customization tools with clarity and AI guidance, enabling 95% of non-designers to create professional-looking designs on their own.
I optimized the workflows for creating, editing, and managing designs into clear, intuitive steps, helping 100% users navigate the platform more easily than before.

We designed the scanning system to give users an obvious, low-effort way to spot nearby avatars and activities, making it easy to explore and join shared moments within the virtual space.

4. Collect rewards, such as avatar outfits, accessories, or home decor items.
Decision Rationale
Motivating Active Exploration Through Rewards
We designed this to give users a clear reason to explore with BONs. By tying access to small rewards, we motivate users to engage actively rather than passively browse, turning BONs into something to seek out rather than stumble upon.
